Make a Garment a Month Challenge .:||:. My Garment for October

Well I'm off to a bit of a late start in the challenge. Luckily the garment I've chosen is a UFO and I already cut it out - about a year ago.

I have chosen Vogue 8305 (View C). I believe this one is now out of print.

 

My fabric is ivory knit ponte from Joann Fabric.

 

I've made a little bit of progress so far.

• I've sewn together the back pieces but need to install the zipper.
• I've stitched the gathering stitches on the front and
• Finished the edges on the facing pieces.

This was not done according to the instructions. I just had a little bit of free time and chose to complete steps that didn't require much concentration.

 

We had a wedding last Saturday so I didn't have much time for sewing. I anticipate being able to finish the dress within the next week. I have no idea where I'm going to wear this dress.  I wanted to wear this dress to a birthday party last year but didn't' have time to finish it. I have a sudden fascination with knit dresses. I have 3 or 4 others planned.
