Pattern Review | Vogue 2091 (OOP)

I cut this dress out several weeks ago hoping to wear it some place we were going. (I don't even remember where now.) At any rate, it was too big and required too much fitting so I set it aside and wore something else. I finally finished it and wore it to a wedding reception Saturday evening.

Here's a review for my fellow sewers.

Pattern Description:
Pullover, tapered dress is mid-knee. I made View B and added long sleeves.

Pattern Sizing:
14-16-18. I cut size 14 but ended up taking it in quite a bit.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes the instructions I have were pretty simple. I purchased the pattern via Etsy and when I received it, the last page of instructions were missing. I had intended to use the sleeves from View C which is a 2-piece sleeve with an underarm gusset. Without the instructions it was more frustration than I wanted to deal with for an otherwise simple dress. Luckily I had enough fabric left to cut sleeves from a different pattern.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I really like the neckline.

Fabric Used:
Double knit from Vogue Fabrics

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None other than adding sleeves.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I may make a short sleeved version for warmer weather. This pattern is out of print but if you can get your hands on a copy it's definitely worth it.

Conclusion:
I wanted a simple pattern to highlight the lovely color of the fabric and I think this hit the mark.
